Andromachi Tseloni
Professor Tseloni became involved with the SCoPiC project in late 2006 and has been working with Principal Investigator Per-Olof Wikström to analyse the differential effects of deterrence on crime delinquency by population subgroups and the association between offending and victimisation using PADS+ data.
Background
Andromachi Tseloni is Professor in Criminology at Nottingham Trent University and past affiliations include the Universities of Manchester and Hull (UK), Maryland, College Park (US) and Macedonia, Thessaloniki and the Aegean, Mytilene (Greece). In the US, Professor Tseloni was a member of the Board on Crime and Criminal Justice Statistics of the American Statistical Association. In 2002 she organised the European Society of Criminology Working Group on Quantitative Criminology (EQC). At present, she is a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Criminology and the Journal of Quantitative Criminology.
Professor Tseloni enjoys applying generalized linear mixed and hierarchical models to predict (sometimes entwined) social outcomes, especially (repeat) crime and crime perceptions, as well as gender gaps, social capital and mental health, using large national and cross-national data sets. Her work has been published predominately in peer reviewed journals.
